There have been nearly 5 million engagements with the 83k articles written about immigration, the biggest peak in public interest coming at the end of January when an issue began escalating at the Texas border, which we will dive deeper into on the next page.

Fox News is the top publisher writing about immigration, reporting on the number of illegal immigrants that have entered the country under Biden, and Elon Musk’s opinion on Biden’s border approach, which he has been sharing on his X account.

Biden’s pause on natural gas exports has been a central point of climate change conversations.

On Jan 26th Biden released an official statement on his decision to pause all Liquefied Natural Gas exports, which resulted in a spike in media and public interest in the topic.

While the natural gas pause was the biggest narrative to surface about climate change, other top articles include NPR’s reporting on the plastics industry, and Al Gore’s commentary on immigration being affected by climate change.

A considerable amount of Biden’s top coverage came from conservative media

Fox News, Breitbart, and the Daily Wire were the leading publishers writing about Biden, with articles about illegal immigration and Biden’s competency earning higher attention.

Time and NBC News were featured in the top five articles for reporting on the Biden administration’s disinterest in Pakistan’s elections, and the Texas border dispute.

Trump: Top Coverage

Coverage of Trump came from a more diverse group of publishers, and had slightly higher public interest in articles than Biden.

CNN was the top publisher, having generated 509k engagements with over 400 articles. The publisher wrote heavily about Trump’s civil fraud case and ongoing investigations of the Jan 6th insurrection.

However, the most engaged article about Trump overall was a poll from Newsmax tha asked the public who his vice-presidential running mate should be.
