NewsWhip AI Fair Usage Policy

We want to guide you on how to use our AI features. 

This policy is designed to ensure the responsible and fair use of these AI features to maximize users benefit and should be read in conjunction with your customer agreement. 

For the purpose of this policy, AI features include but are not limited to: Agents, Digests, Top Themes, and any future features powered by large language models.

Using Our AI Features

  • Part of Your Service: Our AI features are integrated into the services we offer to you, aiming to enhance your user experience.
  • Your Responsibilities: Please use these features in line with  your current agreement with us, and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Validate Results: AI-generated outputs should be reviewed for accuracy and completeness.
  • Third-Party Service Providers: To enhance service functionality and support AI features on your account solely for your benefit, we may need to share limited non-personal data with trusted third-party providers (via data pre-populated in our AI tool which you can modify or delete).  
  • No Training: Your data will not be used to train any artificial intelligence, machine learning, large language models, or other systems.

Access and Permissions

  • Right to Use: Subject to you following your Customer Agreement, you are granted a non-exclusive right to use our AI features and reports. However, this does not extend to third-party content, which is subject to separate IP restrictions.
  • Usage limits: Usage limits may vary depending on your subscription plan. Your Customer Success contact can provide further details.

Modifications and Service Changes

  • Potential Adjustments: We may need to adjust, pause, or discontinue these AI features. If any changes occur, we’ll use best efforts to notify you in advance.
  • Reasons for Changes: Changes may be necessary due to high usage levels, misuse, excessive usage, increased costs, legal compliance, or changes in our technology partnership contracts (and any other cause reasonably determined by NewsWhip).
  • Future charges: NewsWhip will review the value and cost of providing the AI features during any trial period of free use and reserves the right to subsequently charge for the service. The terms of the paid service will be agreed with you in advance.
  • Service and Fees: If there are any changes, pauses, or stops to the AI features, please note that these will not result in refunds or fee reductions. 

Understanding AI Outputs

  • Nature of Outputs: Sometimes, AI may generate similar outputs for different users. Outputs might not always be completely accurate, reflecting the inherent nature of generative AI.
  • Service ‘As Is’: The AI tools and content are provided “as is” without any warranties. There might be occasional disruptions or errors, and outputs may not always align with facts.

Important Considerations

  • Service Levels: Any downtime for AI features does not count towards overall service downtimes as per any service-level agreements. Best efforts will be made to minimise downtime.
  • Intellectual Property Limitations: Indemnities in your customer agreement concerning non-infringement of intellectual property rights do not apply to AI features or content.
