It also brings a predictive element to traditional ‘mention-based’ media monitoring, by using a sophisticated predictive algorithm which shows whether breaking stories about any topic are going to be important today, as well as seeing how the media and public are talking about different issues, and which of those stories will make a splash or fall flat.
