At NewsWhip, we have always made it a priority to protect data belonging to our users, our partners, and the general public.

With General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) coming into effect on May 25th, 2018, we have further elevated those priorities. We understand our requirements under GDPR and have dedicated time and resources to getting it right.

What have we done to comply with GDPR?

  • We have assessed processing activities carried out by NewsWhip to ensure these are lawful under GDPR
  • We have revised and updated our privacy policy
  • We have reviewed our vendors to ensure their compliance with GDPR
  • We have put in place appropriate technical and organizational measures for personal data we process
  • We have reviewed our contractual assurances meet Article 28 requirements

We understand compliance is an ongoing project, and we have put in place the organizational infrastructure to uphold compliant practices. We may need to update this post from time to time with our latest activities, and we encourage you to check back for regular updates.

If you have any questions about GDPR, please feel free to drop us a line at GDPR@newswhip.com. And if you’d like to learn more about GDPR, you can do so here.
