Publisher summit: The new social contract
Join us for a half day of programming where we explore how publishers can navigate the future of news consumption, creation, and distribution.
nyc, wednesday march 26th
The NewsWhip Publisher Summit
The relationship between platforms and publishers is complex, and evolving fast.
Most consumers now start their news journey on social apps, and expect the news brands they trust to be there. Many news stories happen on social media first. But platforms are not the reliable sources of traffic and referrals they were during the social news heyday of the 2010s.
How can publishers develop robust approaches to social platform newsgathering, news distribution and audience development that work best for 2025, and beyond? We’re aiming to answer that question, with a little help from our friends in the news industry.

description
In an era of unprecedented change, the way we consume and create content is being reshaped by a fragmented media landscape, the rise of influencers, and the rapid evolution of artificial intelligence. Traditional gatekeepers are fading, replaced by algorithm-driven platforms and decentralized voices that challenge our perceptions of truth, influence, and engagement.
