Onboarding Specialist – New Business

NewsWhip seeks an Onboarding Specialist to join our team in New York. This is a unique opportunity to shape and change how the world’s leading media, agencies and brands communicate and interact with information.

The role

The Onboarding Specialist will be responsible for training and supporting new customers looking to evaluate NewsWhip’s capabilities.

In the later stages of NewsWhip’s sales process, the company provides access to its software in the form of trials. These are structured “pilots” that allow enterprise companies to experience NewsWhip’s predictive technology first hand, and to understand how these insights will support their various use cases across different teams.

This specialist will work with our Sales Team to launch these programs and guide the trialists through demos, group training, and customized workshops. Through daily interactions with our products and guidance from the Onboarding Specialist, these potential clients will have maximized engagement, usage and impact to their business during this evaluation period.

This is a new role within NewsWhip, and an exciting opportunity to shape a key new function. You’ll be helping to define the key work, shape our trial process, and refine our success metrics. You’ll be supported by and coordinate closely with our Onboarding team (who work with new, signed up clients), and our Customer Success team.

Role responsibility

  • Become an expert on our platforms: Spike, Analytics and our API

  • Work with company leaders to implement a robust 30 day onboarding program for different verticals of clients, and roles within each organization

  • Ensure our new trialists grasp how to use our technology to drive value within their organizations

  • Proactively provide insights/ideas and analysis based on customer objectives

  • Liaise with technical and non-technical teams internally to tailor onboarding to client needs

  • Share suggestions, complaints, and ideas directly to our Product team – they thrive on regular feedback

  • Learn success stories and new use cases for our technology from these new customers, and share these with our internal teams

  • Be an active participant in internal meetings, lending expertise and being the “voice of the customer”

Ideal Requirements

  • Have 2+ years’ Account / Relationship Manager experience in a SaaS-type environment
  • Have excellent presentation abilities, both in-person and virtually
  • Have excellent communication skills. You will have to explain solutions and methodologies competently and concisely
  • Understand how to engage and excite an audience, catering learning experiences for all skill and interest levels
  • Be intellectually curious – NewsWhip is building an industry-defining product, and you’ll have an input on how it takes shape
  • Be a great problem solver.
