NewsWhip has long been providing unique data to global comms and insights teams, giving them the richer context that they need for critical business decisions. In the next few months we’ll be launching a number of features to make sure that those insights are available in more places and more formats than ever before.

These features include our new Microsoft Teams integration, custom reports, and AI-powered digests.

Here’s a little bit about each.

NewsWhip’s Microsoft Teams integration

A Microsoft Teams integration is now available in NewsWhip Spike, and now users can enable real-time alerts to be sent directly to public and private channels in the platform.

This means that you can set up dedicated channels for specific problems you are working on, whether that’s for background context or to solve a very specific question. The alerts work just like the email and Slack alerts that you may already use, directly sending any updates that fit the parameters to the Teams channel you select.

Let’s say you want to know the most engaged articles about Apple’s latest product launch, but don’t want to be checking your emails every five minutes. Or that you are on a crisis team working together on an unfolding reputational issue, and want to receive alerts in real time as you work on the problem. With this integration, you’ll be able to receive these alerts where you work, seamlessly slotting into your workflow, and making it easier than ever for you and your team to react swiftly, confidently, and collaboratively to any situation.

Custom Reports

Sometimes you need to spend a bit more time on analysis and know the full context, and for those situations we’ve also got you covered. To make sure we’re delivering insights you can act on, we’re introducing custom reports, summaries, and deep dives in the formats and frequencies best suited to your needs, whether that’s a two-page overview or an in-depth report on a niche topic.

These reports will be curated by experts and powered by the same great NewsWhip data you’ve come to rely on. Whether you need a detailed Share of Voice analysis from key stories for a particular time period, or a combined timeline of key events and how they compare to past events, you can count on NewsWhip’s team of experts. The offering is available immediately to NewsWhip customers, so get in touch with your CSM to find out more.

AI-powered Digests (coming in November)

In November, we will be taking our much-loved digests to the next level by including smart summarization of the key themes covered in your searches, along with a timeline visualization of the media and public interest, powered by artificial intelligence.

These digests will save you time and make decision making easier using a combination of GPT technology and NewsWhip’s unique insights to give you a balanced, in-depth view of any topic, allowing you to spend time on the strategy and tactics needed to respond.
