A baby girl has amazed doctors with her ability to hold her own feeding bottle. Two-week-old Ammra was able to grasp her bottle alone just three days after she was born at Queen's Hospital, Romford in Essex, her mother Onyi Chiedozie said.

Man killed by train that was driven by former partner

A man has died after being struck by a train that was driven by his former partner. Gary Wells, 36, was hit by the train near Fort William station on Tuesday morning. Emergency services were called to the incident but he died at the scene. Diane MacDonald, who reportedly separated from Mr Wells recently, was driving the ScotRail train between Mallaig and Queen Street, Glasgow.

Chubby Brown fined for reading newspaper while driving

Roy Chubby Brown has been fined for reading a newspaper at the wheel of a car. Royston Vasey, 69, was captured by North Yorkshire Police’s mobile safety camera with the newspaper held in front of his steering wheel as he drove along the A19 south-bound near Crathorne on 15 May 2014. He was fined £30 by Northallerton Magistrates on 20 August 2014 and received four points on his licence. He was also ordered to pay costs of £40 and a victim surcharge of £20
