An Epic Gathering of the Sub-30 Club at Runner’s World Festival

Before I made it to the Runner’s World Half & Festival in Pennsylvania this past weekend, I felt more frazzled than a 9-year-old shoelace. My training had consisted of hiccup after hiccup, and I knew that running well for 22.4 miles in three races wasn’t going to happen.Once I made it to Bethlehem, however, I let all that go. Why? For me, this weekend wasn’t about numbers, times, or pressure to perform. It was about how an individual sport can damn well be a team sport.

Raising Money for Charity, from One Marathon to Another

Participants of the Timex ONE Relay, an event involving more than 100 runners along an 800-mile route from the Chicago Marathon to the New York City Marathon, made a stop at Runner’s World in Emmaus, Pennsylvania, on day 16 of the 22-day program. Five runners participated in the Emmaus leg of the event, including Kathleen Jobes of Runner's World, Kelsey Cannon of Men's Health, and three members of the Putnam family: Lou Putnam, Kelley Putnam Necioglu, and Brendan Putnam.
